STARVING ARTIST DEVELOPMENT PODCAST
EP 27- UNLOCKING THE FUTURE OF BROADCAST JOURNALISM IN DIGITAL MEDIA SPACES
With Jazlynn “The Jazz Report” Lindsay
“... I’m a community person, and this gives me a chance to connect with my community. And I’m still learning. I learn more about the city the longer I do this…this is for Detroit…to see Detroit for what it really is, to hear the inside voices, to hear it from real Detroiters, what our city really is.”
- Jazlynn Lindsay
When broadcast journalism in a traditional newsroom wasn’t enough, Jazlynn Lindsay focused on amplifying businesses, events, entertainment, merging content creation and innovation to amplify Detroit's positive climate.
Founder of The Jazz Report, Storyteller, Broadcast journalist/ Detroit Personality and Media Personality, her innovative approach balances objective truth with digital creativity, carving a new path for independent storytellers eager to uplift their communities while forging sustainable careers.

This podcast didn’t exist when I was growing up and performing;
That’s why I’m building one to amplify, elevate and archive black and brown voices.

“...When I tell you that conversation is next level. That one right there…that’s really going to touch people at the core on a spiritual level - in terms of alignment. It’s going to inspire you to change, to live a more high quality of life…Gabby thank you so much for being such an amazing host and bringing out intimate details that I typically don’t share with the public, thank you so much…I love what you’re doing with the Starving Artist Development platform. Keep doing your thing.”
— Kirk Welsh, Founder of Architect of Alignment
“Thank you for building a podcast to help these creatives and encourage them and just keep them going and being a voice in our community to just allow people to be themselves, but you’re also honing the next generation and we need more people like you man.”
— Jai Yoko, Founder of Jai Yoko ENT.
“I had the opportunity to really speak about what it is that I do and my storytelling and being a creator in Detroit. And one thing I can just say even from this experience…Because I share the stories of people, and business owners and events and everything that happens around our city all the time; I realize that I don't take the time to really talk about myself as much and to really share my story and to really be able to talk about why I do what I do. And truly that was really just an humbling experience...Every single person, myself included, we all have stories to share and we all have something that relates to somebody else.”
— Jazlyn Lindsay, Founder of “The Jazz Report”
